Summary of May 2021

Starting from the controversial May Day holiday, this month has quietly arrived in June. Comparatively, I feel that June may have more things worth recording, whether they are happy or sad, relaxed or tense. Just think about it, in June, there's the college entrance examination, final exams, the English CET-4 exam, the movie "HELLO WORLD", mid-year sales promotion, all of which are worth experiencing and writing about.

Let's first review May. I remember my expectations for May from April were: fewer conflicting meetings, not too difficult exams, and better sleep quality. I am pleased that the meetings mainly refer to group activities, gatherings, and STAR meetings, and this month they did not conflict. As for exams, except for physical education which hasn't started yet, so I don't know if it's difficult or not. Speaking of physical education, it's embarrassing because it conflicted with the database course and I haven't taken the exam. As for sleep quality, it's actually not bad if I don't pay too much attention to it. Additionally, this month, the introductory courses in my major, mechanical drawing, and database have ended (celebratory emojis 🎉), I finished reading a book "The Inventor's Guide to Everything", started reading a book "Snow Country" by Yasunari Kawabata, and began actively studying microcontroller development in my spare time.

For June, the main focus will definitely be exams, although I don't really feel anything about exams anymore, but failing mechanical drawing is almost inevitable because I really haven't studied much and haven't submitted many assignments (qwq). Besides studying, I am most looking forward to the movie "HELLO WORLD". I might also go for a haircut because my hair is getting a bit long, but I'm not sure if I should try a new hairstyle. As for the English CET-4 exam, I have sporadically completed the past five years' real exam papers, so passing should not be a problem, right?

Perhaps it's better not to have too many expectations. Life may disappoint those who work hard, but it won't disappoint those who keep working hard. I have always believed in this, so it's quite normal for reality to disappoint me a few times. But it's really uncomfortable to see each expectation shatter, so maybe it's better not to expect anything from the beginning and just focus on doing things.

No pain, no gain. Hello, world! Hello, June.
