It is now the afternoon of July 18, a different time but the same place. The summary for June is belated, but this is not a so-called task; it is just my own monthly record, so in principle, I can write it whenever I want, and there's no need to feel ashamed about being a few days late... right? I have been thinking about the relationship between living in the moment and reflecting on the past. Since the only thing we can grasp is the present, what can recalling the past bring to the present? Thus, I naturally thought of Descartes; although the past is an unreturnable past, memories of the past occur in the present, which is something that truly happens at this moment, so through this, I can feel my own real existence. This is "I think, therefore I am."
Starting with metaphysical philosophy, this is also a new style attempt, I suppose w(
That being said, June was mostly a time without exams, and the internship only started on July 1, so the whole of June was a rare experience of "being on break at school." In early June, it was mainly the shopping spree of the 618 sales; I bought a Bluetooth headset and a Hanwang N10 mini e-reader (very useful, not an ad, haha); as for Children's Day on June 1... I don't know when I stopped celebrating it. In late June, I mainly focused on organizing my dorm and preparing for the heat treatment competition (the competition results are good news, but I will talk about that in next month's summary). The summer in Wuhan is very hot, very humid, and it rains heavily. It is said that there used to be many more lakes in Wuhan than there are now, but they were filled in to build houses, so when it rains, those places turn back into lakes.
At the end of June (specifically from June 24 to June 27), it was Bao's trip to Wuhan, and I was part of it. Although it didn't rain those days, it was extremely hot, making it very difficult to step out of the air-conditioned room. Even so, we visited many places, such as Jianghan Road Pedestrian Street, the ferry, the art museum, and East Lake... all leaving behind many memorable moments.
Soon it was July, and the beginning of July was marked by a high fever, quite exciting, of course, this will be discussed in the next issue. As I write to this point, another unreturnable June has come to an end. 👋
