January 2025 Summary

It is now February 6th, the ninth day of the first lunar month. I am still immersed in the afterglow of the Spring Festival, indulging in food, drink, and fun. However, the reality is that I have to return to school tomorrow. Beautiful moments are fleeting, and who enjoys the joys of life in their own courtyard? Such springtime is always short and not shallow; good times easily fade and do not return, just as people inevitably grow up.

Let's rewind to January. New Year's Day gave us a one-day holiday experience card, followed by more than ten days of distracted work and preparations for the annual meeting. On the evening of January 18th, the annual meeting was successfully held. Due to issues with the delivery of our performance headgear, my poetry recitation program with Senior Brother ZQ had to be changed to a serious topic (the original plan was "I Am a Milk Dragon"). The grand prize went to a teacher, which was one of two small regrets at the annual meeting; the other segments were quite good, not wasting the effort and care that several of us put into the preparations.

The end of the annual meeting also marked the beginning of the winter vacation. I headed straight to J City to reunite with Bao. Although we were both busy, we always managed to find that pure joy whenever we met. In J City, we wandered through the streets, tasting various authentic snacks, reminiscing about the past while dreaming about the future, as if time became particularly long at that moment. We even went to the fields to pick large strawberries, which took us two days to finish. Most importantly, we took photos at HMT. After getting our makeup done, Bao was as stunning as ever, and I could say I had a "makeover" too. The beautiful photos left us with unforgettable memories. A few days later, we went to West Lake in Hangzhou together. The beauty of West Lake has been depicted countless times by poets, but when I truly stood by the lake and saw the picturesque scenery, I was still deeply shocked. The lake shimmered, and the distant mountains appeared faintly in the mist, resembling a light ink wash painting. In the following days, we visited Lingyin Temple, experiencing tranquility and peace, where we met a very charismatic elderly man and benefited greatly from our conversation. We also had crab roe noodles by the West Lake, the fresh and fragrant taste was unforgettable. We visited the Southern Song Dynasty Imperial Street, experiencing the ancient charm. A week passed in the blink of an eye, and we set off on our way home, filled with wonderful memories.

Back home, I lay in bed, reflecting on the journey of the past week, my heart full of warmth and reluctance. Although I have to return to school tomorrow (P.S. from 2025/2/9: the return date has been postponed), I know that these beautiful moments will always accompany me, allowing me to feel this joy and warmth in the days to come. With Valentine's Day just a few days away, my anticipation has grown, thus reducing my worries about returning to work. As for how February will unfold, we will talk about it next time.
